Book Club for Adults
Sweet Home Middle School will hold the first meeting of its Book Club for adults. Parents, Teachers, and members of the community are welcome Monday, November 28 6:30 in the library.
New Middle School Administrative Team Appointed
Sweet Home Central School District and the Board of Education are pleased to announce the appointment of a new administrative team at Sweet Home Middle School.
At a special voting meeting conducted on June 3, the Board of Education approved the appointment of Martin Pizur as Principal of Sweet Home Middle School. Mr. Pizur had been the Assistant Principal of the Middle School since 2007 and was named acting Principal of the school in October 2010.
Prior to coming to Sweet Home, Mr. Pizur was a secondary mathematics teacher in the Amherst Central School District for seven years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics secondary education from the Buffalo State College, a master’s degree in educational computing from Buffalo State College and a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision from Canisius College.
At its July 5 voting meeting, the Board of Education approved the appointment of Jenifer Gilson as the Assistant Principal of Sweet Home Middle School. Mrs. Gilson has been employed at Sweet Home since 2005, serving in the roles of Coordinator for Data Analysis and Director of Technology/Chief Information Officer. Mrs. Gilson will begin her new role on Monday, August 8th.
 Board of Education Voting Meeting on Time Warner 22
The Sweet Home Board of Education is pleased to announce that its regular monthly voting meeting will air on Time Warner Public Access channel 22 beginning Monday, June 1. The meetings will air every Monday from 8-10pm and Wednesday from 2:30-4:30pm.
The Board of Education meets the second and third Tuesday of every month in the Norman C. Vergils Community Center of Sweet Home High School at 7pm. The public is welcome to attend any Sweet Home Board of Education meeting.
